This show was an unforgettable experience. And for those who were there, they know that there is more to it.

Summer Camp Music Festival was extremely muddy by this last day due to all the rain over the weekend, and it refused to stop throughout the whole show. Lightning flashed all across the sky behind the stage, making the backdrop of the Traveler waves even more fitting and cool! It may sound like no fun, but this is coming from the guy who had no pancho and was soaking wet and freezing standing in the mud for 2 hours just for Trey. And I had no complaints the whole time, except when the set-break came around and Trey said "give us 15 minutes guys" which ended up being 45. Even then, I anxiously awaited his return.

The first set was phenomenal! All of the songs were full of energy and no one missed a beat. First Tube was the perfect opener for the stormy adventure to come. The whole time I watched rain pouring off the roof of the stage down onto the stage floor, getting Trey and his guitar both wet, but the smile never left his face once.

This show, although having the downside of being cut short, was epic in its small time, and a fun ender to TAB's tour.

Trey's tone during this show is my favorite he's had in 3.0 Phish or non-Phish, which makes it even more tragic that this show was cut short. If it feels like this show is a bit more high energy its because the band was playing through a storm.

This is a fantastic first set of music and it only got stronger, possibly because the band saw what no one in the crowd wanted to truly accept...the elements were not going to allow this to happen. Maybe they were just freezing too. The music was great, and honestly the recording just reinforces that, but the experience was...rough.

First of all, you couldn't dance, the mud was so thick you just had to stick yourself in a position that you wouldn't be uncomfortable standing in for an hour. Secondly, the rain was coming down so hard it you couldn't physically keep your head up. The water was sharp on the eyes and coming down in buckets. It also probably goes without saying it was effing cold.

But the band stuck with us and I'm telling you - get this recording. Whenever the wind would shift the direction of the rain the crowd would cheer and we would look up at the stage and rage what we could.

By the end of the first set I I looked at Natalie Cressman's face and her hair was completely sopped all over it, I don't think she could see. Trey told us they would be back so we stayed.

The crowd literally went from thousands to hundreds - by the end most of the crowd had given up. But those of us who stayed were rewarded when they came back and gave us an a great 'Mr. Completely' - or at least what they could.

The moment they stopped playing I feel like Trey, myself, the entire crowd, the entire band on stage all had a moment, we were looking at Trey like "Is this going to keep going?" as the wind started to pick up and you saw Trey look to the side of the stage as if to say "Do you really expect us to keep playing" - then the song was cut short and we found out essentially the rest of the festival was cancelled due to weather. I hate to be this guy but if you were there, it sucked but you understood. There was no way of enjoying the music but I have to say, the band played a very strong show and it's one of my favorite recordings of theirs. The energy is entirely driven by the storm that they were playing through. You'll FEEL the storm in this set + 1. Definitely a favorite - wish it would have dried and redeemed a second set.
